Dosing Schedules
TWO DAY (EVENING/MORNING) SPLIT DOSING SCHEDULE - (This is for guidance only. Please refer to full instructions provided by your healthcare professional)
day before colonoscopy

Stop all intake of solid food until after your procedure

Allow at least a 3 hour break before taking the product

Take Dose 1, sipping it very slowly over 60 minutes

Drink a minimum of 500mL of clear fluids

If thirsty drink plenty of clear fluids

Take Dose 2, sipping it very slowly over 60 minutes

Drink a minimum of 500mL of clear fluids

Continue to drink plenty of clear fluids

Stop all intake of fluids

The product may be easier to take if:
- You drink through a straw
- You sip very slowly over at least 60 minutes
- You alternate between the Plenvu solution and clear fluid
- It has been refrigerated once it has been made up
After taking the product:
- You may want to use a barrier cream on your anus to prevent soreness e.g. petroleum jelly
- Make sure you allow enough time to travel to the hospital for your procedure
- Consider using wet wipes after each bowel movement. Alcohol-free wet wipes that have been refrigerated are particularly soothing
- Arrange a taxi or ask a friend to take you home from hospital, as you will not be able to drive after being given a sedative (a medicine to help you relax but may also make you drowsy) during your procedure
